One of the best children’s museums that I’ve been to is NEMO, in Amsterdam. It has a variety of things to do. If you want to go outside, there are fountains, a life-sized chess board, and loads of great views of the city. Inside, there was an obstacle course built from dominoes, pipes, swings, shopping carts, and lots more everyday items; it only took one marble to set the whole thing in motion. On other floors, there are mirror exhibits, sounds exhibits, and even something where you can try to block off a water stream flowing off a mountain. It was educational, and fun.
